Located between the amazing sea and the Welsh mountains of North Wales in the picturesque town of Penmaenmawr, The North Wales Spine Clinic is situated in the beautifully restored 1865 Victorian Oxford Arcade on Pant Yr Afon in the town centre. A wide range of transport options is available to and from the clinic including rail, bus, car, by foot and by bike from the Conwy or Bangor end of the A55.
From Bangor –
On the A55 from the Bangor end leave the A55 at Junction 15a after the Llanfairfachan tunnel and follow the main road over the viaduct and through Penmaenmawr to the traffic lights and the Spar shop in the town centre. The clinic is located on your front left side in Oxford Arcade when you are at the traffic lights. We are next door to the Post Office.
From Conwy-
From the Conwy end leave the A55 at Junction 16 which is the roundabout after the petrol station and follow the main road into the town centre. When you reach the traffic lights in the centre of the town the clinic is located on your right side in the large Victorian building called Oxford Arcade. We are next to the Post Office.
Both sides of Pant Yr Afon have spaces for free car parking and are adjacent to the clinic location. There is also a free car park on Fernbrook Road behind Natwest bank across the road from the clinic.
Information for Rail travel can be gained from Traveline Call 0871 200 22 33. Website: www.traveline-cymru.info. Trains from Bangor take 15 minutes and are as follows: 8am, 9am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 6pm weekdays. Trains from Llandudno take 30 minutes and are as follows: 10.44am, 11.44am, 1.44pm, 3.08pm, 4.20pm and 5.07pm weekdays. The Penmaenmawr train station is 300 meters away from the clinic situated on Station Road.
Information for bus travel can be gained from Traveline Call 0871 200 22 33. Website: www.traveline-cymru.info. There are two bus stops 50 meters away from the clinic location adjacent to the Spar shop. Both are situated on Ffordd Bangor. One is westbound toward Llanfairfechan whilst the other is eastbound toward Conwy. The bus times from Bangor are every 30 minutes from 9.05am to 6.05pm weekdays. Bus times from Llandudno are every half hour and start at 9.47am to 10.17pm weekdays.
This is how we get there! Recently opened is a cycle path taking you along the picturesque coastal path from Conwy Marina along Dwygyfylchi into Penmaenmawr, or from Bangor through Aber and Llanfairfechan and into Penmaenmawr. The cycle path opens up transport from the Bangor and Conwy on either foot or by bike. The cycle route follows national cycle route number 5 and is signposted from both ends.
